Now, the first thing you may notice about our bike carrier is how it's holding our bike. This is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, meaning that it's gonna put pressure on the front and rear wheel to stabilize the bike on the back of your vehicle. This is gonna work well for those people that have unconventional frames, like step-through bikes, as well as people that just don't want contact to their frame, like carving fiber frame or just a nice paint job. This is gonna allow you to get down the road without any contact to your frame. What I think is super cool about RockyMounts in general is that every contact point where you can make an adjustment is blue, so you know what to reach for and what to do. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Kat Transfer v2 bike carrier on our 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. Now the Transfer is a frame mount, I mean, I'm sorry, a wheel mounted bike carrier, meaning that you're gonna have a contact point on the front of your wheel and a strap on the back wheel. Essentially that's gonna work well for those bikes that you don't want frame contact to that top tube. So if you have a carbon fiber frame or a bike with a nice paint job, this is gonna allow you to secure your bike to the carrier without having any contact to the the frame itself. As far as what you're getting out of this, this is gonna be a step up from the basic bike carrier that you would have, to move multiple bikes. Generally, if you're looking for a four-way for this, you can add an additional extension on here to make this a four carrier. more

The Destination four bike carrier is a great value way to move multiple bikes to get 'em out on the road for you. It's really flexible where it'll work with kids bikes as well as adult bikes. A couple things that I would like to point out it is a frame mounted bike carrier. So that means that if you have a bike where you don't want contact to the frame like a carbon fiber bike or you have a unconventional frame like a step through, this may not be the best option. You might wanna lean more towards a wheel mount. more

Now I say kit because obviously this comes with the E16 5th wheel hitch, but it's also going to come with these adapter rails that allow your industry standard rail fitting 5th wheel to attach to that factory towing prep package that might be present in your Ford F-450. Now it's worth mentioning that Curt does make a version of the E-Series 5th Wheel Hitch that's designed to go directly into that factory towing prep package. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the etrailer Adjustable Ball Mount for two inch hitches, and we're gonna see how it fits on the back of our 2020 Ford F-150. This adjustable ball mount will give you the option for two different ball sizes, two inch and two and five sixteenths, and allow for up to a six inch drop, or a six inch rise if we were to completely flip this around in the hitch. So, if you tow a variety of different trailers with your F-150, and they're all different coupler sizes, and different heights, and you want to be able to tow them all level without swapping out the ball mount, this could be a good option for you. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Etrailer trailer hitch receiver on a 2021 Ford Transit T350. Now, this is how your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Transit, and it is an exposed cross tube, meaning you can see pretty much the entire majority of the hitch. But this is, you know, with a van like this, it's definitely gonna be used for a utility more than likely and you're not really going for that aesthetic look. But going along with looks, this is a matte black powder coat finish, which matches really well to the plastics. It also holds up against chips and corrosion long term. Now, this hitch in particular is two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, and that's gonna be great when choosing ball mounts, bike racks or cargo carriers, 'cause it's kind of the most common size and there's tons of accessories available. more

Roadmaster Universal Diode Wiring Kit Installation - 2024 Ford Maverick- Video

Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit on our 2024 Ford Maverick. A diode wiring kit is designed to tap in the back of your factory tail light, so that you can accurately transfer the lighting signals from the back of your motor home to the back of your Maverick. Essentially, if you look at it as, like you're pulling a trailer with your motor home, you have to do the same thing as if you're pulling a car behind your motor home. You have to be able to transfer those lighting signals, whether it be your blinkers, your stop, or your running lights, you need to transfer those back here, so the others know what your intentions are when you're going down the road. There are a couple other solutions other than diodes when it comes to choosing a kit for being able to get those lighting signals back here. more

Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and later be showing you how to install this etrailer soft roll-up tonneau cover on the back of our 2023 Ford F-150. Adding a tonneau cover to your F-150 is gonna be a great addition because it's gonna add a little bit of bed protection from things like the elements, it's gonna keep your stuff out of sight, it's gonna help a little bit with fuel economy at those higher highway speeds, and just generally, I think it adds a nice look to the truck. Now when it comes to tonneau cover options, you can separate them into two main categories, hard covers and soft covers. While the soft covers are not gonna provide as much protection for your bed, anyone can come through with a knife and cut through it and get to the stuff inside, if they're determined enough, it will still do those basic functions of keeping your stuff out of sight and out of mind. But more importantly, I think just offering that general weather protection, keeping rain and the elements from just totally barraging down on your stuff and keeping the bed covered up nice and neat. more

Now this is specifically for the SE and SEL models. Now if you're adding a hitch to your Edge, it's definitely worth picking up four pole trailer wiring harness and that's essentially to keep you safe and legal while going down the road. Even if you don't plan on pulling a trailer, it's nice to have this in place, that way, if for whatever reason you may need to tow a small trailer while you're moving or whatever it may be, you'll have this ready to go and that's gonna give you your running lights, your turn signals and brake lights on your trailer, keeping you safe and legal. And as far as the installation goes, this one uses a factory style plug that goes into the back of the taillights. So there's really not, you don't have to be a wiring expert to get this done. more

Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender for Bike Racks Review - 2020 Ford F-150 - PVP20B- Video

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at how the Kuat Pivot V2 passenger version swing away hitch extender fits on our 2020 Ford F-150. Now, this extender allows you to use your Kuat bike racks, but also swing them out 90 or even 120 degrees away from your hitch. Here on the F-150 though, there's even another feature that I found pretty impressive. Even without swinging away everything, just because this extends the bike rack out a bit, I'm currently using the Piston Pro X by the way, I'm still able to lower the tailgate. So it does depend the location of your pedals, but notice how this tailgate fully lowers if I need quick and easy access to the truck bed and I don't wanna go through the process of swinging things out and away, this is a great option for me. more

Generally speaking, when you own a pickup truck and you actually use your truck, it's a great idea to protect the finish of your bed against scratches, scrapes, and all the things that can damage it, and that's when having a liner is gonna come in handy. The ImpactLiner is very sturdy to protect your bed. WeatherTech uses a laser measuring system to match all the contours of your bed, and that's one of the cooler things about the WeatherTech products in general. They're gonna be an exact fit once it actually settles in. We just pulled this one out of the package so it hasn't quite settled, but if you give it a little bit of time, it'll lay flat and flush with all the contours of your bed. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima EXO system on our 2020 Ford Explorer. The EXO system is a modular system that allows you to customize how it's set up. With this particular configuration, we have the gear locker and the SkinnyWarrior with the top shelf attachment, but you can configure it with a lot of different accessories. And what that means for you with your Explorer, it's gonna allow you to increase your cargo area to get those bigger, bulkier things out for your adventure. As you can see, this is a pretty massive setup, but the benefit of that, it gives you a lot of flexibility. So with your SkinnyWarrior basket at the bottom, it also is an attachment that allow you to use it as a cart, and it's gonna give you 110 pounds of capacity to stow away. more

Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover Installation - 2019 Ford Ranger- Video

And today we're gonna be taking a look at the Pace Edwards SwitchBlade hard tonneau cover, and we're gonna see how it installs on the back of our 2019 Ford Ranger. A tonneau cover is a great way to cover up your bed and keep the contents protected either from the elements or from people walking by. This one being a hardcover is going to offer the most security because unlike a soft cover, someone can't just come up and cut through it with a knife. So if you're the type of person to leave stuff in your truck bed for extended periods of time, then this might be a really good option for you. And this particular option is going to be a retractable canister cover. more

Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars Roof Rack Kit Installation - 2020 Ford Explorer- Video

So adding a roof rack system to your Explorer is going to allow you to get those bigger, bulkier items out on the road with you by taking advantage of space on top of your vehicle. This is gonna let you get accessories like a roof basket, kayak carriers, bike carriers, a wide variety of different items to help you with that outdoor activity. In general, Thule set up with these bars on the raised rails. It's super easy, it's just a matter of getting the measurement of your crossbar spread and the distance across. etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar Review - 2022 Ford F-550 Cab And Chassis- Video

Hey, everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Ford F-550 Cabin Chassis Motorhome, we're gonna be checking out the etrailer.com SD tow bar. Right off the bat, these etrailer SD tow bars are gonna be available in several different configurations and really the only difference is going to be what type of adapter end comes with it. So the one that we have here today is going to work with Blue Ox base plates, as well as Curt base plates. And if you happen to have a different brand of base plate, whether it be a Roadmaster or another one, chances are really good that the SD is gonna be available with that adapter and allow you to pair them two together. With that said though, when it comes to picking out a tow bar, it's a pretty important decision 'cause it's gonna be responsible for a lot of the work. more

Tow Bar is gonna be one of five main parts that you're gonna need to set your Jeep up to be flat towed. The other four are gonna include your base plate, your safety cables, your tow bar wiring, and, of course, your supplemental braking system. When it comes to picking out a tow bar, it's a pretty important decision because it is responsible for a lot of the work, you know, being the actual link that's gonna connect the back of your motor home to the front of your vehicle.
